INS and diabetes mellitus: Several studies had shown that reasons for low adherence to insulin therapy are public embarrassment (Farsaei et al., 2014; Peyrot et al., 2012), concern over hypoglycemia (Peyrot et al., 2012; Bermeo-Cabrera et al., 2018), negative beliefs and attitude about insulin therapy (Yavuz et al., 2015), difficulties in preparing injection, poor knowledge regarding DM, and insulin self-injection (Mariye et al., 2019).Therefore, the systematic identification of people with limited ability to take responsibility for their insulin therapy is critical.
