The latest European guideline from the European Hereditary Tumour Group (EHTG) and European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) suggests that, given the relatively low lifetime risk of developing CRC and metachronous CRC, more bowel-conserving therapies should be considered for MSH6 and PMS2 mutation carriers, such as partial colectomies [5].
