In a triple blind study by Ghanbarzadeh-Ghashti and co-workers, 27 women with PCOS received CUR (500 mg twice daily for 3 months), which led to reduced serum testosterone (p = 0.13) and sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) levels (p ~ 0.7), helping normalize menstrual irregularities, as analysed by ANOVA, Mann Whitney U-test, and independent T-test. This evidence concerns the gene SHBG and polycystic ovary syndrome.
