SLAMF7 and Salmonella Infections: Indeed, prokaryotic RNA purified from E. coli or S. Typhimurium increased the percentage of SLAMF7+ and SLAMF8+ CAL-1 cells in an RNase-dependent manner (Figure 4H), as well as the surface levels of SLAMF7 and SLAMF8, in primary human pDCs, like in the case of Salmonella infection (Figure 4I).
