Analysis of 8500 path_MMR carriers undergoing colonoscopic surveillance has shown that, for colon cancer, the cumulative risks at 65 years of age are 36.3%, 29.8%, 10.1%, and 2.8% in females and 48.4%, 41.5%, 12.7%, and 9.5% in males for path_MLH1, path_MSH2, path_MSH6, and path_PMS2 carriers respectively. This evidence concerns the gene MLH1 and malignant colon neoplasm.
