They identified differentiated monocytic-like AML cells that express a series of immunomodulatory factors, including tumor necrosis factor (TNF) pathway genes (TRAIL/TNFSF10, TNFAIP2) and interleukin (IL)-10 pathway genes (HMOX1), reactive oxygen species regulator (TXNIP), which lead to T cell phenotypic changes and develop immunosuppression (7, 8). Here, TXNIP is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
