IGHE and asthma: The total IgE level, rate of food allergen sensitization and inhalant allergen sensitization, and BALF eosinophil proportion significantly differed between the asthma and non-asthma groups (P < 0.05), while no statistically significant differences were found in the absolute eosinophil count in the peripheral blood and FeNO results between the 2 groups (P > 0.05; Table 2).
