Notably, 46.8% of cardiologists were "somewhat familiar" with SGLT-2 inhibitors and 42% with GLP-1 agonists, while fewer reported being "very familiar." These findings are consistent with prior research indicating that despite the increasing evidence supporting the efficacy of these medications in heart failure and cardiometabolic disease, their adoption has been slow, particularly among specialists who may not be directly involved in prescribing them [5,11].
