DRD1 and Anxiety: In order to explore whether Drd1a-Cre+ L6 neurons play a role in regulating anxiety, we compared the behaviour of mice with chronic silencing of Drd1a-Cre+ L6 neurons (Drd1a-Cre+/-:Ai14:Snap25fl/fl) with littermate controls (Drd1a-Cre-/-:Ai14:Snap25fl/fl) in two behavioural paradigms used to assess anxiety phenotypes: the Light-Dark Box (LDB) protocol [40] and the Elevated Plus Maze (EPM) [41, 42].
