Chemokines, such as MCP-1 and RANTES, which are key to inflammation and leukocyte infiltration, influence endometriotic lesion development; their reduced levels correlate with suppressed lesion progression.[48] High ROS levels, a result of aerobic metabolism, can lead to oxidative stress and contribute to diseases such as endometriosis.[34,49,50] GPx mitigates oxidative stress in endometriosis-related infertility.[51] Amini et al[52] found that vitE supplementation in patients with endometriosis decreased ROS levels and pelvic discomfort.
