FOLH1 and prostate cancer: Since the initial discovery of PSMA as a potential target for prostate cancer in the late 1980s [2], PSMA-targeting agents have been extensively studied for imaging and treatment of prostate cancer, which culminated in FDA approval [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-617 in March 2022 for treatment of adult patients with PSMA-positive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who have received previous chemo-therapy and are not responsive to hormone deprivation [3].
