The FDA has approved the usage of a highly potent and specific MEK1/2 (MAPK pathway) inhibitor, Trametinib, in combination with BRAF inhibitor dabrafenib for all non-resectable or metastatic solid tumors (except colorectal cancer), as well as most pediatric gliomas harboring a BRAF V600E mutation [18,19,20,21,22]. Here, BRAF is linked to colorectal cancer.
