The difference in metabolic perturbation mediated by MEK1/2 or SHP2 inhibition, coupled with the apparent resistance to SHP099 in the K8484 cell line both in vitro and in vivo (Figure 1 and Figure 4), suggests a potential MAPK-independent role for SHP2 in regulating PDAC tumor cell metabolism.
