AFP and neoplasm: Additionally, Sogbe et al. [23] showed that in a cohort of seventy-three patients with HCC, patients with detectable ctDNA presented with a significantly higher probability of being classified as BCLC B/C (p < 0.0001), having macrovascular invasion (p = 0.023), extrahepatic spread (p < 0.0001), larger tumor size (p < 0.0001), and higher levels of AFP (p < 0.0001), confirming the relation between ctDNA and HCC aggressiveness.
