TMEM160 and gastric cancer: These effects were mitigated upon treatment with ferroptosis inhibitor Ferr-1 but not by the apoptosis inhibitor Z-VAD-FMK or the autophagy inhibitor 3-methyladenine (3-MA) (Fig. 1G, H), indicating that erastin-induced death in GC cells with TMEM160 knockdown was dependent on ferroptosis and not related to apoptosis or autophagy.
