We knocked down NRF2 in BGC-823 and HGC-27 cells with TMEM160 overexpression and found that TMEM160 overexpression inhibited erastin-induced ferroptosis, whereas NRF2 knockdown significantly restored the sensitivity of GC cells to erastin (Fig. 6G, O, and P and Supplementary Table 6). The gene discussed is NFE2L2; the disease is gastric cancer.
