Wang et al. found that 2 mL of Quercetin (100 mg/kg) lowered the levels of inflammatory cytokines such as Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), IL-6, and TNFα, decreased NF-κB activation (including the nuclear translocation of NF-κBp65), and significantly reduced the phosphorylation of Insulin Receptor Substrate-1 (IRS-1) tyrosine in Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA)-induced PCOS in female Wistar rats. Here, NFKB1 is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
