Respiratory failure was associated with postoperative renal replacement therapies (OR 13.8, 95% CI 1.3–143.9, p = 0.006) and with higher postoperative values of creatinine (md 0.27 mg·dL−1, 95% CI 0.1–0.4, p = 0.001) and C-reactive protein (md 33.5 mcg·L−1, 95% CI 0.1–66.8, p = 0.049). Here, CRP is linked to respiratory failure.
