GSDMC was previously shown to be cleaved by Caspase‐6 and Caspase‐8 in vitro and was activated by Caspase‐8 but not by Caspase‐6 in breast cancer.[16] To investigate which Caspase protein might be responsible for GSDMC activation in colorectal cancer, we first analyzed the expression of various Caspase proteins in intestinal tumors. The gene discussed is CASP6; the disease is intestinal neoplasm.
