PJVK and cancer: Since the discovery of Gasdermin (GSDM) family of proteins as the final executors of pyroptosis,[12] a growing body of evidence has demonstrated the roles of GSDM‐mediated pyroptosis in inflammatory diseases, cancer, and hematopoietic disorders.[13] The GSDM family includes six members: GSDMA/B/C/D/E and Pejvakin (PJVK).[14] There is one GSDMC gene in humans and four orthologs in mice (Gsdmc1/2/3/4).
