PRL and hyperprolactinemia: The weekly cabergoline doses of the two groups were comparable (0.5 ± 0.0 vs. 0.7 ± 0.3 mg/week), yet patients who maintained normal prolactin levels were treated with cabergoline for a significantly longer duration, with a median treatment time of 10 years (IQR 4.6–10.3), compared with a median of 2.0 years (IQR 1.5–3.2) in those with recurrent hyperprolactinemia (p < 0.01; Table 4).
