Infection in coro1a:GFP-rac2D57N zebrafish larvae, which have defective neutrophils and macrophages, increase both fungal burden and invasive hyphal growth with C. albicans (Fig. 7), supporting the idea that macrophages and neutrophils have synergistic and partially redundant roles in antifungal immunity in burns.
