The findings within this study, are different to those reported by Yao et al. (2019) [10], who reported high osterix expression was significantly associated with adverse patient survival (P = 0.048); however, it is important to note that there are a number of differences between these studies, including over 70% of tumours being larger than 2 cm at time of presentation in the cohort of 154 patients, and a focus on overall survival rather than disease specific survival in the same study [10].
