In this enrichment analysis, stroke-induced upregulation of Toll-like receptor (TLR) 7 was associated with mucosal lymphoid cells (HPA), X-linked inheritance (HP), abnormal lymphocyte count and morphology (HP) regardless age (Available in supplementary file), which is consistent with previous report about the TLR related poor outcome and greater inflammatory response after acute ischemic stroke (Brea et al., 2011), suggesting that antagonizing TLR7 might be promising in the treatment of ischemic stroke and brain injury (Gesuete et al., 2014; Lu et al., 2020). The gene discussed is TLR7; the disease is stroke disorder.
