A multicenter study conducted in France identified several risk factors associated with mortality following SARS-CoV-2 infection, including elderly recipients (>60 years), hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, elevated post-infection CRP levels (>60 mg/L), lymphopenia, and increased postoperative SCr levels (>115 μmol/L) (6). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is hypertensive disorder.
