[35], it was shown that accelerated aging is associated with a higher hepatic collagen content in patients with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and Maeso-Diaz et al. [36] found increased Col1a1 expression levels in the liver of aged rats. Here, COL1A1 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
