We further explored the association of Fn with patient survival and found that the presence of Fn was associated with prolonged cancer-specific survival (hazard ratio = 0.507, 95% confidence interval: 0.290–0.885, p = 0.017), with a median survival time of 60.0 months in this group compared to 36.4 months in the Fn-absent group (log rank p = 0.013, Figure 1c). This evidence concerns the gene FN1 and cancer.
