IGHE and peanut allergic reaction: The NIAID-sponsored guidelines suggest that infants with egg allergy or severe eczema be considered for evaluation of peanut-specific IgE through ImmunoCAP testing or skin prick testing to rule out peanut allergy before introducing age-appropriate peanut-containing foods, ideally between 4 and 6 months, in order to reduce the risk of developing peanut allergy.
