Interestingly, data of Test for Association with De Novo Alterations (TADA) collected in the Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) (https://www.sfari.org/resource/simons-simplex-collection/) and in the Autism Sequencing Consortium (https://asc.broadinstitute.org/) identified PPP5C gene as a candidate gene of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) with a false discovery rate between 0.05 and 0.1 [9, 10]. Here, PPP5C is linked to autism.
