GPX4 and bronchopulmonary dysplasia: Yang et al. found that ETS1 overexpression alleviates hyperoxia-induced BPD by reducing ROS, MDA, and Fe2+ levels through enhancing Nfr2 transcription and activating downstream anti-ferroptotic pathways such as HO-1, SLC7A11, and GPX4 (Yang et al., 2023) (Figure 2).
