Among patients with an objective IBD disease activity up to 8 weeks prior to CDI diagnosis, 46/70 (66%) had CRP ≥ 1 mg/dL, 37/48 (77%) had a faecal calprotectin ≥ 250 μg/g, 16/20 (80%) a Mayo endoscopic subscore ≥ 2, and 5/8 (63%) a Simple endoscopic score for CD ≥ 7. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and clostridium difficile infection.
