HDAC6 and cancer: HDAC6 has been demonstrated to regulate primary cilial uptake under cellular stress as well as through the autophagy pathway involving autophagosome‐lysosome fusion.[29] HDAC6 plays a role in a variety of biological processes, including mitosis, cancer, and heat shock, leading to cilia deletion.[41] Increasing evidence suggests that HDAC6 is the main cause of ciliary detachment.[36]
