Several proteins, including kinetochore protein Spc25 (SPC25), cardiotrophin-1 (CTF1), acetylcholinesterase (ACHE), and leucine-rich repeat neuronal protein 1 (LRRN1) had not been reported to be associated with AD or dementia in recent large-scale plasma proteomics studies15,23–27, although they were identified in a recent large-scale CSF proteomic study16. This evidence concerns the gene ACHE and dementia.
