By analyzing the topmost enriched KEGG pathways and biological processes based on proteins differentially expressed in SCLC-A vs. non-SCLC-A, we identified increased NE differentiation and oxidative phosphorylation, but also altered insulin metabolism, signifying the NE origin and metabolic distinctiveness of ASCL1-driven SCLCs. This evidence concerns the gene ASCL1 and small cell lung carcinoma.
