Specifically,serum levels of lipopolysaccharidebinding protein (LBP) and chymase have shown promise as early predictorsof severe dengue. The study was carriedout in the city of Asunción, Paraguay, from February 2018 toMarch 2020 (n = 145) and evaluated the associations of these biomarkerswith the severity of the disease. This evidence concerns the gene CMA1 and dengue disease.
