The genetic connectivity was less conclusive, with only a few genes of interest targeted by the four compounds, like PCSK9 (Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9) a target for the treatment of dyslipidemia, or MED4 (mediator of RNA polymerase II transcription subunit 4, also known as DRIP36). Here, MED4 is linked to metabolic syndrome.
