In acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), a fusion occurs between the TEL (ETV6) gene (on chromosome 12) and the RUNX1 gene (on chromosome 21), thus upregulating members of the miR-99a/let-7c/miR-125b cluster and miR-100 (de Oliveira et al., 2012; Gefen et al., 2010). Here, ETV6 is linked to acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
