MTOR and posterior cortical atrophy: In PCa, an androgen analog has been found to repress miR-99a-5p and miR-100-5p expression, thereby partly reducing the tumor-suppressive effects of the miR-99 family; furthermore, the miR-99 family inhibits androgen-receptor activity by targeting SMARCA5, SMARCD1, and mTOR, thus reducing prostate-specific antigen levels.
