Four core-risk-related genes, including TXNIP, CD44, ENTPD1, and PDGFRB, were defined, and three of these genes (TXNIP, CD44, and ENTPD1) showed upregulation on qRT-PCR resulting in the development of a three-gene panel for screening high-risk PBC patients [19].
