As shown in the heatmap in Figure 1, the MB tissue and the corresponding patient-derived cell cultures exhibited markedly elevated expression levels of several potassium channel genes, including KCNB2 (Kv2.2), KCNA5 (Kv1.5), KCNA1 (Kv1.1), and KCNJ2 (Kir2.1), when compared to normal brain tissue, as well as other brain tumor types and their respective primary cultures. Here, KCNB2 is linked to brain neoplasm.
