In CKD patients, no statistical differences were found between the baseline study and the 18-month follow-up in any anthropometric, clinical, or biochemical parameters (Supplemental Table S1), except for increased serum levels of creatinine (p = 0.002), FGF23 (p = 0.01), and sKlotho (p = 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene FGF23 and chronic kidney disease.
