While indacaterol demonstrated superiority over placebo in LABA treatment, there was little evidence of a significant association between ADRB2 variants and bronchodilator response (FEV1, transitional dyspnea index, exacerbations), suggesting that genetic variation in ADRB2 does not appear to influence the BDR response to LABA treatment in COPD patients [31]. Here, ADRB2 is linked to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
