In another TC mouse model, a Trp589Arg GALNT3 mutation was generated by N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea (ENU) mutagenesis, resulting in hyperphosphatemia associated with decreased intact FGF23 levels, increased 1α,25(OH)2D3 levels, and periarticular calcified masses [56]. This evidence concerns the gene GALNT3 and hyperphosphatemia.
