Aims: The aim was to investigate the influence of ACE (rs4646994), ACTN3 (rs1815739), PPARA rs4253778, HIF1A (rs11549465), and AMPD1 (rs17602729) genes polymorphisms on the combined effects of post-activation potentiation (PAP), post-activation performance enhancement (PAPE), and general adaptation syndrome (GAS), as reflected in vertical jump performance, in elite basketball and volleyball players compared to a control group from the general population. The gene discussed is HIF1A; the disease is flatulence.
