Recent investigations have unveiled a multitude of gene mutations associated with asthenoteratozoospermia and male infertility, including Dynein Axonemal Heavy Chain (DNAH) inner dynein arm (IDA) genes like DNAH1, DNAH2, DNAH6, DNAH7, and DNAH10, as well as outer dynein arm (ODA) genes such as DNAH8 and DNAH17, all implicated in primary male infertility with asthenoteratozoospermia (Khan et al., 2021; Li et al., 2019; Tu et al., 2019; Gao et al., 2022a; Li et al., 2022; Liu et al., 2020; Whitfield et al., 2019; Zhang et al., 2020). The gene discussed is DNAH1; the disease is male infertility.
