CD301b+ DCs have been previously reported to induce diverse immune responses, including Th2 polarization during helminth infection, allergen challenge, and immunization with blood-borne antigens (Kumamoto et al., 2013; Perner et al., 2020; Ryu et al., 2022; Lyons-Cohen et al., 2024); Th17 polarization in psoriasis (Kim et al., 2018); and the generation of tissue-resident memory CD8+ T cells against HSV-2 (Shin et al., 2016).
