Evidence from animal models (Hoyer et al., 2004), other autoimmune conditions (Chihara et al., 2011; Zografou et al., 2021) and isolated case reports (Marino et al., 2020) suggests a particular role of short-lived plasmablasts (SLPBs) in the early autoimmune stages (Wardemann et al., 2003) and in IgG4-mediated diseases (Vakrakou et al., 2023), such as MuSK+ MG.
