CRP and cystic fibrosis: In our study, the significant increase in CRP levels, the positive cor-relation of this increase with the increase in AIx, and the fact that the change in AIxwas greater in patients with higher CRP levels suggest that inflammation in CF may be animportant factor for CVD risk in this disease, which is consistent with studies in thelitera- ture and the proposed consensus (3,5,27,28).
