In contrast, TEMRA CD8 T cells were not significantly associated with sarcopenia by muscle attenuation, but frequency of naïve CD8 T cells was significantly associated with a frequency of 47.3% for those nonsarcopenic patients with high muscle attenuation compared with 18.0% for sarcopenic patients with low attenuation (p = 0.027). This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and sarcopenia.
