Regarding other transcripts, the SH-SWE neurons from the AD triculture evidenced increased levels of TNF (p < 0.001 vs. control) and NOS1 (p = 0.07 vs. control), together with decreased expression of DLG4 (postsynaptic density protein 95 (PSD95)-coding gene) and SYP (p < 0.05 vs. control, for both), suggesting the presence of neuroinflammation and impaired synaptic dynamics (Figure 6H). Here, DLG4 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
