CRP and Increased total leukocyte count: Laboratory findings showed leukocytosis (18,000 white blood cells {WBC}/mm3) and an elevated C-reactive protein (CRP, 256 mg/L), with a normal coagulation profile. Cervicothoracic CT imaging revealed necrotizing fasciitis in the cervical region with multiple abscess collections extending to the axillary region, chest wall, and superior mediastinum (Figure 2 and Figure 3).
