Wang et al. (2020) further reported that NaB impairs migration in colorectal cancer by targeting Thioredoxin-1, an EMT inducer, leading to decreased vimentin and N-cadherin and increased E-cadherin expressions. Interestingly, Thirunavukkarasan et al. (2017) revealed that SCFAs, by interacting with their FFA receptors, drive MDA-MB-231 cells toward a non-invasive phenotype by upregulating E-cadherin expression. The gene discussed is VIM; the disease is colorectal cancer.
