In PCa cells, RES was found to block tumor invasion and migration by increasing the expression of TIMP2/3 and eleven translocation 1 (TET1) levels while simultaneously reducing the expression of MMP2/9 and TNF Receptor-associated factor 6 decreases (TRAF6)/NF-B/SLUG axis [47,171]. Here, TRAF6 is linked to posterior cortical atrophy.
