Overall, the relative expression of F2RL1 (77.60 ± 28.50 vs. 284.60 ± 67.72), P2RX2 (26.81 ± 10.27 vs. 274.40 ± 77.46) and P2RY2 (3476.00 ± 508.20 vs. 7215.00 ± 1338.00) was higher in the esophageal tissue of GERD patients than in healthy controls, although the differences were not statistically significant. This evidence concerns the gene F2RL1 and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
